• 14th Kerala VHF Fox Hunt will be held at Kollam on 17/4/2010. Venue: Near Police Club, Public Library Road, Kollam. The District Superintendent of Police Smt. Harshita Attalluri, IPS will flag off the hunters at 2.00 PM. Ham Fair, 2010 will be inaugurated by the District Collector Shri A.Shajahan, IAS at 11.00 AM on 18/4/2010 at Jaladarshini, Thevelly, Kollam. After the inauguration function, a demonstration on 'Digital Communication' will be conducted by the National Institute of Amateur Radio, Hyderabad. Exhibition and sale of amateur radio equipments, homebrewed, second hand as well as new, is also arranged.

• The lake city contest as part of World Amateur Radio Day celebrations have been conducted on 13th and 14th March, 2010 on 7 Mhz. The result is declared as shown below: 1st place : 1. OM Sanil Deep, VU3SIO from Calicut - 112 points 2. OM K.Vinod, VU2VID from Kollam - 112 points. II Place: OM Sunil Koodathinkal, VU2ATB from Calicut - 101 points III Place: OM Anil Kumar, VU2FA from Adur - 73 points The first prize winners will have to share MAH rolling shield. The second prize winner will be awarded RQR rolling shield. Others who submitted copy of log are (1) OM V.Anil Kumar, VU2JQX from Trivandrum (68) points and (2) Dr. Manoj, VU2KER from Kannur (12) points. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all who participated in the contest.

• 13th Kerala VHF Fox Hunt has been conducted succesfully at Calicut.Six teams were participated. Shri Pradeepkumar, MLA flagged of the hunt. A large crowd including members of public and press was assembled there to witness the function. The programme was conducted by Quilon Amateur Radio League in association with Calicut Repeater Club.
  
  The team of OM Devadas, VU2DH from Chennai won the first prize.
  
  The other team members were OM Gopal, VU3GGK and Dr.Vijith, VU2KIV
  
  The team of OM Ibrahim, VU3IRH from Pollachi won the second prize.
  
  His team member was OM Prabhu, VU2TTP
  
  The team comprising of OM Santhosh, VU2OGO and OM Thomas, VU2VJT from Payyannur bagged the third prize.

• The 13th Kerala VHF Fox Hunt will be conducted by the Quilon Amateur Radio League in association with the Calicut Repeater Club on 8th March, 2009. The venue will be CALICUT TOWERS, MAVOOR ROAD, CALICUT. The partcipating teams may please be registered in advance with the Secretary, Shri P.Surendran, VU2SYT over telephone (mob. No. 09446854749). Registration fee for a team is fixed at Rs.100/- which needs to be paid at the venue. Spot registration is also possible. The CSD rolling shields will be awarded to the first three winning teams in addition to cash awards. The prizes will be awarded on 19th April during Hamfair. Hams as well as SWLs can participate in fox hunt. * The Fox Hole will be anywhere within a radius of 30 K.Ms from Calicut Railway Station * The Fox howl will be a tone in 145.600 Mhz in omni-direction (first 30 seconds will be 5 watts followed by 30 seconds in 300 milli watts) * The first howl will be at 9.00 A.M (IST) and thereafter every five minutes. * Please do not have any QSO in the game frequency it may disqualify the team. * At 11.00 AM you can ask for the first clue from the game controller who will be available in the call frequency 145.500 Mhz throughout the game. At 11.30 A.M you can ask for the second clue. At 12.00 Noon the game will be announced by the Game Controller at the call frequeny as well as in the game frequency. Please note that the maximum members allowed in a team is three only.
